Avengers - Endgame (will include spoilers)
Who’s seen this already?

Saw it last night thought it was absolutely amazing, the last hour is incredible especially.

3 hours absolutely flew by, not a single person in my screening went to the toilet the entire time.

Yeah decent, not a massive super-hero movie fan but this was one of the best I've seen, a bit long though.

8/10

Yep, also seen it.

Solid 8/10 - couple of bits annoyed me, but was mostly very, very good

Captain marvel pissed me off a bit. Far too overpowered.

Otherwise a great film

Loved the "on your left" call back

Re: Avengers - Endgame
Have to say i did get a tad emotional after Sam said on your left and then everyone started showing uespecially spiderman, never used to really like him but the tom holland version is brilliant. And finally got to hear him say Avengers Assemble!

Didnt like the girl power thing they feel like they have to force in there making sure to get a scene with all the women teaming up to save the day, just feels forced.

Also im not sure how Thanos was stronger in this one than he was previously with the stones?

Kids film

Re: Avengers - Endgame
The girl power thing was so over the top, forced and unnatural (a weird thing to say about a super hero movie) that it was pretty demeaning to the efforts to empower women in Hollywood. It was basically just Marvel saying "LOOK AT ALL THE STRONG WOMEN WE HAVE! LOOK! LOOK!"

It was handled much better in Infinity War with the four way fight in Wakanda

Also, in what I reckon is a nod to Star Wars where the whole end of the Empire could have been avoided if the gunner had shot that escape pod, this entire films story was only possible because a rat walked across a button

Absolutely brilliant film from start to finish.

I'll bet very few of you noticed the next big Marvel villain Easter Egg. He was actually in the film, very few would have noticed him.

Re: Avengers - Endgame (will include spoilers)
There are a lot of callbacks but only minor things that while huge fans will have really appreciated them it wont detract from the story,

According to something i saw online the films you NEED to see before endgame are

Captain america - first avenger
Captain america - civil war
Guardians of the galaxy
Avengers
Iron man 1
Black Panther
Captain marvel
Infinity war

I would day you dont need to see black panther that doesnt really tie in at all and i havent seen captain marvel and definitely didnt miss anything.

I would also add in you should probably see ant man and the wasp as he has a really big role in it

Re: Avengers - Endgame (will include spoilers)
The girl power thing was ludicrously over the top, they didn't even need to do it, Marvel have done a pretty decent job of equality towards women in these films already.

Google Thanos and click on the glove in the top right corner, don't worry if you haven't seen the film, it won't give any spoilers away

You need to have seen Winter Soldier for sure

Re: Avengers - Endgame (will include spoilers)
so is it all over now? will the giant marvel audience move onto more challenging works like paw patrol or the clangers?
